BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

JULY 8, 2010

David opened the meeting at 6:40 p.m.

Minutes were read, discussed and approved.

Treasurer’s report was read, discussed and approved.

Lighting:  The association may have to start paying the street light at Nora.  The home owner, who has been paying, passed away.  There is concern that the light at Manner Dale and Hunsinger is not bright enough.  Al will research to see if this is a light that the association is now paying for.  Motion was made, seconded and passed that if we are paying for this light, Al will ask LG&E to increase the wattage.  If we are not responsible for this light we will revisit this issue at the next board meeting. 

We discussed perhaps adding a light to the west side of Breckenridge Lane between Manner Gate and Manner Dale.

ID sent out bills with an incorrect charge.  If anyone overpaid they will be reimbursed on the next bill.

David reminded everyone to let Carl know if anyone new moves into the neighborhood.

Beautification:  The committee is moving along.  Student artists have been contacted.  After the area is cleared and the wall is cleaned, painting will begin.  Hope that all of this will be complete by the time school starts in mid August.  Permits for the beautification project are in the works.  Information about this project will be discussed in the next newsletter.

Block Watch:   Vandalism is the biggest problem this summer.  National Night Out is August 3^rd. 

Website:  Debbie has added a lost and found section to our Website.

The annual Picnic will be September 25^th at Hunsinger Lane Baptist Church.  David asked for a show of hands for picnic committee volunteers.

The yard sale will be October 9^th.   The Junk Pick Up will be October 14^th.

The 4 way stop at Graf and Pomeroy is a go.  All paper work has been filed.

There was a lively discussion of vacant homes in our neighborhood.  We discussed what we could do as an association and as concerned home owners.

David reminded everyone of the next General Meeting August 12^th.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

APRIL 15, 2010

David called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

Minutes from the January 14, 2010 meeting were reviewed and approved.

We have 511 paid members as of March 31^st.

Yard Sale will be May 8^th and Junk Pick Up will be May 13^th.

The next General Meeting will also be on May 13^th at Hunsinger Lane Baptist Church.  David made stickers for the signs we put up to advertise the meeting.  We can cover Midlane Park with Hunsinger Lane.

Al reported that we are still paying for 50 lights.  LG & E plans to take down a light on Cromarty, but it is not one we pay for.

Newsletters will be ready Derby weekend.

We discussed the mistake that ID made on the yard waste postcards.  That has been resolved with ID.  David will mention it in the newsletter.

Al and Charlie F. put new mulch down in our 3 beautification areas.  Christy is going to lend them her gas weed eater when they need it. 

We discussed the wall on Breckenridge Lane.  We need to clean up in the area before we do any painting.  The Beautification Committee will be meeting and making some decisions.

Since the police cannot attend our General Meeting, Debbie will have a block watch meeting in her front lawn on June 8^th at 7:00 p.m.  Officer Leonard will attend.

Joe and David will be taking care of any banners that need adjusting.

Eric and Debbie are still updating the website.

Metro government changed the number of speed humps from 4 to 3 on Woodgate Lane.  Councilman Kramer’s office has allotted enough money for 12 speed humps and we are going to have only 11 put in.  Now Manner Dale Dr. has been approved for 2 speed humps between Woodgate and Pomeroy.  We discussed the 2 speed humps on Manner Dale.  The Board voted to present a proposal at the General Meeting.  The proposal is to install the 12^th speed hump (that funds have already been allotted) on Manner Dale and for the association to allot the extra funds ($1,050.00) for the additional speed hump on Manner Dale.  Councilman Kramer’s office will pay their half.

We discussed ways to get more members to attend our General Meetings.  David is working on Door Prizes.  We can always use more Door Prizes, if anyone has any ideas.
