Welcome to the 1st day of Fall. How about that BENA Picnic last Saturday afternoon? For those who didn’t have a chance to join in the fun, you really missed out on a great time. The Dixieland All-Star Band performed again. We had large inflatables for the kids (young and old) to enjoy, we had the BEST tasting Cotton Candy (on this side of Candy Land!), and we had wonderful door prizes that quite a few folks won as the picnic wrapped up!
I want to thanks EVERYONE who worked hard to make the picnic the wonderful success that it was. As many people know, we already planning on next year’s picnic being BIGGER and BETTER, so please plan to attend.
There will be a BENA Yard Sale on Saturday, October 11th. Please contact your area rep if you plan on conducting a sale.
BENA Junk Day this fall is Thursday, October 16th for those BENA members with Industrial Disposal garbage service.
A Brightside Clean-Up Day on October 25th between 8am until 12 noon. Please contact Cheryl Wofford at 495-6454 for more information.
The Traffic Study Petition Campaign is under way to see if we can get enough signatures regarding our neighborhood streets to have a traffic study done to see if we’re candidates for Speed Humps. Please contact your area rep if you’re interested in this study.
According to Officer John Leonard, car break-ins and related thefts are still the #1 problem throughout our area of town. Please keep your car doors lock and your valuables safely stored out of site (i.e., in the car trunk, glove compartment, or under a seat).
Take care and be safe! More later!
